The John Vallery Memorial Prize – €1,000
(sponsored By Mrs Mary Beattie in memory of her late husband John Vallery)
“The John Vallery memorial Prize” will be awarded to the person (in either the Semi-Final or Final), whom in the opinion of the Jury has given ‘the best performance by a string player’ in the 2023 Competition.
The Conrad O’Sullivan Memorial Prize – €1,000
(sponsored by Mrs Geraldine O’Sullivan in memory of her late son)
The Conrad O’Sullivan Memorial Prize will be awarded to the competitor (in either the semi-finals or final) who, in the opinion of the Jury, has given ‘the best performance by a wind or brass player’ in the 2023 Competition
The Wil Keune Memorial Prize – €1,000
(sponsored by Jane Carty in memory of her late husband, Wil Keune)
The Wil Keune Memorial Prize will be awarded to the Semi-finalist not awarded a place in the Final but whom the Jury feel shows real potential and promise.
A Special Prize for the Winner of this year’s Competition
A Recital in the Redutowe Rooms of the Teatr Wielki – National Opera in Warsaw, will be presented by Jury Member, Beata Klatka, Polish National Opera

A solo engagement for the Winner during 2024 with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, presented by the General Manager, RTENSO.
A Solo Recital for the Winner at the September 2024 ‘Music in Monkstown Festival’ presented by Music in Monkstown
A Solo Recital in 2024 for the Winner at the National Concert Hall, presented by the Chief Executive, NCH
Submission of the recording (at RTÉ Lyric FM’s discretion) of the Winner’s performance, to the European Broadcasting Union New Talent Competition, as RTÉ Lyric FM’s entry in 2024.
