Valentine is currently in her third year of the BMus at TU Dublin Conservatoire, studying flute with Ciarán O’Connell. Valentine completed a Musical Studies Diploma with honors in 2019 from the Toulouse Conservatoire in France where she studied with Jean-Robert Gasciarino.  She has participated in various master classes with flutists such as Magali Mosnier, Pascale Feuvrier, Jennifer Sturgeon and Jean-Louis Beaumadier on piccolo. In her previous engineering studies, she had the opportunity to work on a research project on flute acoustics at the Institut d’Alembert in Paris.

Valentine’s love of chamber music has led her to take part in various ensembles such as wind quintets, flute and harp duets and various trios in France and Ireland. She has also played in the orchestra of the Toulouse Conservatoire and several times at the Jazz in Marciac festival alongside Jazz soloists. Having a keen interest in Baroque music, Valentine joined the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra this summer where she learned to play the traverso.

Valentine is currently a flute teacher at the Portmarnock School of Music where she also teaches piano.
