Laoise is a pianist from Galway, Ireland, who completed her Bachelor of Music Performance Degree in the Royal Irish Academy of Music in June 2022. She commenced a Master in Music Performance and Composition Degree in September 2022, studying piano under Professor Thérèse Fahy and composition under Jonathan Nangle.

Laoise has achieved success in various competitions around Ireland since 2016, most recently in the ESB Feis Ceoil 2022, where she was Very Highly Commended in the Benson Cup for Bach playing, after which she was invited to compete in the final for the Morris Grant Bursary. Laoise has also been awarded prizes in competitions such as RIAM PianoFest, Sligo Feis Ceoil and Féile Luimní.

In June 2022, Laoise attended the Walled City Music International Piano Festival in Derry, taking part in masterclasses with international teachers and performing in the student concerts. She has also been part of various performance projects and masterclasses in RIAM, such as the Open Your Eyes and Tell Me What You See collaborative project with Iain Burnside in February 2022, and Finghin Collins’ performance project in January 2022. Laoise is also developing her composition portfolio, having had works performed by other RIAM students in RIAM’s lunchtime concert series this year.
