Mickey began his piano tuition at the age of 7 in the Newpark Academy of Music. At the age of 13 he moved to the TU Dublin Conservatoire, formerly DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, to continue his musical studies. He is now currently studying under Dr. David Mooney, doing his undergraduate degree in the TU Dublin Conservatoire.

Mickey has had the incredible opportunity to participate in a number of masterclasses led by esteemed musicians such as John O’Connor and Barry Douglas.

Mickey has competed in many competitions and recitals alike, receiving multiple awards from the Feis Ceoil and the EPTA competitions. He has played in a number of commendable venues, such as the National Concert Hall, and the RDS.
