Born in 2001, Dylan Donegan is a Donegal-raised and now Dublin-based harpsichordist. Dylan completed his BMus in Piano Performance studying with Danusia Oslizlok at TU Dublin Conservatoire in 2021, during which he took lessons in harpsichord with Rachel Factor and discovered his love for Baroque music and historical performance. Dylan has since completed his first year of the MMus in Harpsichord Performance at TU Dublin Conservatoire, continuing his studies with Rachel Factor.
As a soloist, Dylan has performed at numerous recitals. These include lunchtime recitals from the recital series at TU Dublin as well as a lecture recital on the early French Baroque Suite. His areas of interest include the works of D. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, the French Harpsichord School and the English Virginal School. Dylan participated in a masterclass with Malcolm Proud at the National Concert Hall in 2021. Dylan has undertaken lessons with Carole Cerasi in London, who he intends to study with once he has completed his studies in Ireland. As a continuo player, Dylan has performed in many different settings. These include duo sonatas with flute, recorder and violin and also in wider ensemble settings such as the TU Dublin Early Music Ensemble. Dylan regularly participates in the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra, led by Claire Duff. |
